I know it will carry 500 pounds. After that I'm not sure.

It is a single receiver design.

The important thing it to have a good receiver hitch manufactured with the correct (and more expensive) receiver tube. Some builders are using 2.5" OD square tube for the receiver. The correct tube to use is 2" ID receiver tube. This tube has a very close tolerance to the device you plug into it. This close fit along with the two grade 8 bolts eliminate the need for a second receiver.

Blaine Merrell makes his GMC hitches with the correct receiver tube. After checking out several others at GMC rallies, I went with Blaine's hitch for my GMC because I wanted to be able to use a single receiver carrier.

This center tube problem does not seem to be a problem with other commercial hitch manufacturers like Reese, Draw tight, Hidden hitch, etc. Unfortunately they do not make hitches for our GMCs so we have to use the specialty manufacturers like Blaine Merrell.

I have watched the motorcycle out the back window for many miles. It does not move or bounce around.
