The warm section is likely a high pressure liquid line that surrounds each door to ward off condensation. I discovered this the hard way when I cut up an old fridge cabinet for instruction purposes.

You may want to check the position of the manual gas valve back by the gas solenoid. On mine, it's off when the screw slot is vertical and on when horizontal. It's very easy to turn.
