I would totally agree on this, usually if something has had "government involvement" a good portion of it is most likely screwed up.

One of my favorite items is EROSION CONTROL during construction projects.....wow....pay attention to where construction companies are required to place erosion control silt fencing some times and you'll really be shaking your heads.

Thousands of programs implemented, many many don't work, but no followup to fix them.

I'd better stop here.

Some state governments have succumbed to the hysteria created by Freon
manufacturers who stand to loose substantial profit if products like
DuraCool become widely accepted. Mail order works or, depending on your
location, a quick trip across the border.

When I tried to buy HC12A locally I was told at Auto Zone, Advance Auto,

Napa and car quest that it was illegal to sell or use this product in
New 
York State because it an explosive. My argument was I have a motor home
that 
can carry 50 gallons of gasoline and 70 lbs of propane plus engine oil
and 
tranny fluid all of which are fammable or explosive. I am not worried
about 
18 ounces of HC12A in the air-con.
