Gene,
In keeping with the theme of your post, I would like to add this.
There are only three of us (that I'm aware of) that rebuild control
arms for the GMC. Cores are becoming scarce because as you know, in
order to replace a damaged beyond repair control arm, another GMC must
give up it's life. The only alternative to using a GMC lower control
arm is to use Eldo or Toro lowers and gusset, stiffen them to bring
them up to GMC strength. This is a very labor intensive procedure and
adds tremendous cost to replacements. These cores too are becoming
scarce as the autos they come from haven't been manufactured in 30
years. The Huebler modification is consuming some of the replacement
cores and as it gains popularity, the available supply of cores will
dwindle even further.
To compound the problem, many of the GMC cores are being scrapped or
cut up for shock mounts as the units themselves are in such bad
condition, they are no longer repairable.
I encourage anyone who has rebuildable GMC cores, or undamaged Eldo
or Toro lower control arms to bring them to the GMCWS fall rally next
month. If Jim K doesn't buy them, I will.

We GMC owners have fewer and fewer vendors making products for our

Take a look at the last puller on the market for our coaches
