[Gmcnet] Good Sam

Hi Byron, thanks for the feedback.

I can relate to the problem you had. I'm on the blacklist and got a call one evening, I ran over and tried to help out. Coach would turn over, was getting gas, it would fire once in awhile but not start. He had to towed to a local GMC dealer and the next morning found out he had a bad coil.

Thanks again.

Ray

Ray,

I don't have Good Sam so I can't say about them. I do have AAA RV and am
satisfied. In fact, I didn't have that until I needed it.

I was in Johnson City, TN when Silver Lady wouldn't start. It turned over,
smelled gas, but no fire. I called my AAA number in Louisville and was
transferred to Knoxville. I didn't have the coverage but the club in
Louisville allowed me to add and make the call. A truck was sent from
Knoxville to Johnson City. The driver had hauled GMC's and other
low-profile, FWD's before and knew to take it easy, watch the rear, and lift
from the crossbeam. I was impressed.

I had called a "tune-up" place and asked if they could take a look. I
explained what I had. "Sure" came the response. When I got there the guy
smiled and asked my what year mine was. He had worked on them before and
knew it had a 403.

Back up and running in 45 minutes. Loose connection at the distributor.

No spark, no fire.

Of course, AAA coverage isn't universal but neither is everyone else. As has
been pointed out -- goes to the lowest bidder.

Byron
