Both of mine do that.

Between the flexing of the body, the general fatiguing of 
the spring clip, vibration, and wear of the little slot that 
the curli-cue clip slips into, it's just to be expected.

A little piece of 1/4" aluminum angle discreetly pop riveted 
  to the door frame at the slot (grind/finish to your 
tastes) should fix it.

Disregard if your tastes run to OEM/show-quality restoration 
solutions.
